WEEKEND WARRIOR

Jason Williams is definitely one of the rising stars helping to coordinate the Sunshine State's largest Arcade/Pinball Expo, Free Play Florida. Over the past several years he’s been promoting the event helping to bring in record attendance and even produced some of the show's most entertaining moments alongside the incredibly talented Georgieanna Williams. Of course, Jason’s obsession isn’t exclusive to just 3 days in November. The rest of the year he’s known as That Weekend Warrior, whose content on Instagram and YouTube reminds his followers to take a moment to appreciate the finer things in life: Toys, Records, Video Games, and Pop Culture!

GREG’S GAME ROOM

Central Florida is known for several things including sun, theme parks and content creators. However, if you were to scan the sea of Bloggers and Vloggers, you’d likely never find a more honest and respectable personality than Gregory George. When he’s not on an adventure or contributing to Free Play Florida, he’s typically producing videos for his YouTube channel: Greg’s Game Room. There you’ll discover tons of content showcasing your favorite retro consoles. Fellow vlogger Splorin Ryan had this to say about Greg, “You don’t need to be Greg George in order to properly appreciate ATARI, but it does check off 5/6 of the boxes.”

VGM ROCK BAND

For a decade now, the premier video game music cover band LAME GENIE has been delighting fans across the nation. They’ve performed at PAX East, MagFest, Too Many Games and even Free Play Florida. The crowd is typically awestruck by the wonderful rock versions of their favorite songs synced with video projections, as well as tons of crowd interaction. Kent Ward of Ongaku Overdrive describes their performance as, “Interactive Video Game Metal that will melt your face off”. What an amazing way to spend an evening!

The positivity of these 2 individuals is absolutely electric. Katie and Spencer travel to amusement parks, carnivals and arcades all across our nation showcasing some incredible midway games. They even showcased a number of arcade/pinball events like Free Play Florida, the Sunshine State’s Largest Arcade/Pinball Expo. Along the way their YouTube followers might even pick up on a few tricks in order to ensure they’ll become, wait for it.. a WINNER EVERY TIME!

TOXIC CRUSADERS

It's been more than 30 years since the Toxic Crusader cartoon first appeared on television sets and since that time, fans have almost unanimously asked for one thing: a modern arcade beat ‘em up style game featuring Toxie and his friends. The fine folks at Retroware heard that cry for help and started working on an all new adventure to be released on modern consoles. Now a whole new generation will get to experience the wildest group of misfits, working to combat pollution in Tromaville.

VIDEO GAME TECHNICIAN

While you may be familiar with Free Play Florida, not everyone is aware that it is a non-profit event giving attendees the opportunity to experience a large collection of arcade and pinball machines. Of course, someone has to keep those machines running for 3 days straight. That’s where our incredible techs come in! Donald Bendever has been a FPF volunteer for more than a decade now. While his work may go unseen, gamers in Central Florida definitely appreciate all his hard work. While his skills as a technician are legendary, the most important role in his life is being a father and husband. This year, we’d like to celebrate our first ever Free Play Florida All-Star: Donald Bendever.

FPF PINBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2023

Over the past several years Free Play Florida has partnered with The Pinball Lounge in Oviedo, Florida for three exciting days of flipping out! In 2023, the FPF Pinball Championship proves to be the biggest year yet and the last stop on the Stern Pro Circuit. Some of the highlights include the Classic Tournament, Women’s Tournament, Amatuer Three Strikes, Open Three Strikes and of course the Main Open Tournament.

GAME BRINGER

The Free Play Florida Arcade/Pinball Event is celebrating its 10th event and owes all of its success to the amazing attendees, volunteers, and of course Game Bringers that contribute each year. Evan Labit first started bringing games to Orlando's popular Game Warp event over a decade ago. Evan's collection of Candy Cabs started when he traded his Triumph Sports Bike Motorcycle for his first two machines. Now while a Candy Cab may be safer than a motorcycle, they can be difficult to move, especially if they won't fit through the doorway (Evan's quite good at disassembling his collection when necessary). His work is greatly appreciated and FPF proudly celebrates Evan Labit as our first ever Game Bringer of the Year!

Cybertron Video Games is the premier gaming superstore located in the Central Florida area.
